Deciding which streamers to cover is a complex proposition, as they all have different priorities. For Paramount+, it leans heavily on Hollywood for massive drops of movies and TV shows from network partners, with less original programming compared with Netflix and the others. With Paramount's proposed acquisition of HBO Max, we decided to check in on the new series and movies on its streaming service this month.
Paranormal Activity Franchise (April 1)
The first of every month is when the vast majority of what we call "library movies" drop on each streaming service. These are theatrical releases from years past that the streamer licenses, and Paramount's epic studio connections help them really dominate. April starts with not only the found footage horror genre-redefining Paranormal Activity movies, but also all the Jackass films and the Terminator series all hitting Paramount+. Binge-watchers rejoice.

Cheech & Chong's Last Movie (April 20)
Coming exclusively to Paramount+ on 4/20 (get it?) is a 2025 documentary on the comedy duo that defined the 1970s, Cheech & Chong. From their breakthrough comedy albums to their wildly successful movies, these two invented stoner comedy. In Last Movie, Cheech and Chong hop into a car for a cross-country road trip where they revisit their ups and downs—or should we say their highs and lows?

My Killer Father: The Green Hollow Murders (April 28)
True crime fans will salivate over the new docuseries, My Killer Father, which hits at the end of the month. Donald Dean Studey passed away in 2013, but his daughter, Lucy McKiddey, claims that while he was alive, he murdered dozens of people in Iowa's remote Green Hollow, throwing them down wells and into mushroom groves. But the proof is elusive, and no actual human remains have ever been found. Take a deep dive into the case from all angles and see what you end up believing.
