CES is one of the best ways to start the year in tech, and PCMag has staffers working their butts off in Las Vegas, getting the scoop on all of the hot new products you can expect to see on store shelves in the near future. We've been testing all sorts of products (even Legos), and while the majority of them don't have release dates set, preorders are available for more every day. Scroll down for some of our pre-order picks from CES 2026. As the event goes on, we'll expand this with more items, so check back often.

One of the Best AI Recorders Gets a Button

Plaud's tiny and powerful voice recorders are a gamechanger, with writer Brian Westover calling its Note device "the best AI hardware product I've used" in his hands-on last year. The company continues to iterate on both software and hardware, and CES sees the debut of the new NotePin S, a wearable microphone featuring transcription in 112 languages, detailed AI-powered summaries, and serious battery life. The NotePin S now features a physical button that lets you start and stop recording as well as mark highlights.

Portable Keyboard for iPhones

We're seeing a big swing away from shiny touchscreens to devices with a little more friction, and the Clicks Portable Keyboard is a great example. This keyboard case fits around the frame of your iPhone and slides out from the bottom, giving you a tactile typing experience with MagSafe connectivity. In our writeup, we were impressed by the customizable backlighting, the included built-in MagSafe battery pack, and stylish design. It'll retail for $109, but Clicks is opening up pre-orders at just $79 for a limited time.

A Cutting-Edge Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Eufy's robot vacuums consistently get good reviews when we take them into the lab, and they debuted the new Omni S2 this year at CES. This is the most advanced all-in-one floor cleaner we've seen from them yet, with a massive base station that washes, dries, disinfects, adds detergent, and stores dust automatically. The edge-to-edge cleaning brushes keep the wet mop away from walls while still handling dirt and debris, and the AI-powered navigation can dodge obstacles as small as 0.4 inches while handling multiple different types of floor terrain. It's spendy, but if you're serious about cleaning without doing any of the work, the Omni S2 looks like a winner.

A New Ereader With Plenty of Storage

The pocket-sized DuRoBo Krono e-reader could be serious competition for Amazon's Kindle thanks to a few compelling choices. With 128GB of storage (as compared to a typical e-reader's 64GB or less), it's more spacious, and the 300 ppi resolution HD display looks sharp but won't lend itself well to gaming or endless social media scrolling like a normal tablet. DuRoBo also is marketing it as a music player, with Bluetooth connectivity and a solid built-in speaker. The Krono will ship later this month, but you can pre-order now.

Nintendo Switch-Friendly Smart Glasses

Our tech writer Will Greenwald took the new XReal 1S AR smart glasses for a spin at CES, plugging them into his Nintendo Switch 2 to see how the company's fascinating technology transforms 2D output into 3D visuals. In his rundown, he was impressed by the "compelling sense of depth" it gave numerous titles. You can also use it for movies, which was somewhat less successful, but future firmware updates will solve that issue. He also tested the XReal Neo, a combination battery pack and video adapter for Nintendo consoles to link with the glasses. The XReal 1S AR and Neo are on sale now at their website. In the meantime, check out our picks for the Best Smart Glasses for 2026.

A Pee-Scanning Toilet to Check Hydration

CES is always home to some weird and wacky goods, but the Vivoo Smart Toilet could actually be beneficial to your health. The bowl-mounted sensor is designed to collect a small sample of your urine and analyze it to determine deliver you real-time hydration information and tips on drinking more water if you need to. The unit can last for over 1,000 tests. We've got a full writeup on how it works, and you can pre-order one now for $99, with the unit shipping this summer.
