It's an eventful month for Netflix, as the streaming service is losing a whole movie franchise and more to make room for the new stuff. Licensing deals mean streaming content is always in flux, and expiring in April are every James Bond flick and more.

That's because Netflix doesn't own everything it streams. Its contracts with networks, production companies, and movie studios mean its programming constantly shifts. So, each month, we bring you up to date with a list of what's going to disappear and highlight our top choices for what you should watch in March before they're gone. This month sees a couple bingeable series also saying goodbye, so here's what you should get on your watchlist while there's time.

Van Helsing: Seasons 1-5 (April 16)

If you just want to turn your brain off and enjoy a show that was built to be binge-watched, slot Van Helsing in on your playlist. We might never get that new Blade movie if Marvel Studios continues to be dysfunctional, after all. Vanessa Van Helsing wakes up from a coma to discover that a volcanic eruption has blotted out the sun, letting vampires prey 24/7. Her blood holds the key to reverting their curse, but it's gonna be tough to keep it inside her body with all manner of creeps hunting her down.

  • Cast: Kelly Overton, Jonathan Scarfe, Vincent Gale
  • Genre: Horror
  • Rating: TV-MA
  • IMDb Rating: 6.3/10

Black Sails: Seasons 1-4 (April 17)

Four-season Starz series Black Sails kind of went under the radar (except for the dedicated pirate freaks out there), but it's a solid seafaring show with high production values and rich plotting. Set before the events of Treasure Island, it stars Toby Stephens as Captain James Flint, who heads the pirates of New Providence Island in the Bahamas as they fend off governments and search for lost treasure.

  • Cast: Jessica Parker Kennedy, Toby Stephens, Winston Chong
  • Genre: Piracy
  • Rating: TV-MA
  • IMDb Rating: 8.2/10

James Bond Collection (April 21)

If you've been putting off watching the classic escapades of Agent 007, get on it quickly, because a whopping 20 James Bond movies leave Netflix on April 21. From Sean Connery's first outing in 1962's Dr. No to Daniel Craig's swan song in 2021's No Time To Die, the evolution of the Bond films is the evolution of modern action cinema, with plenty of highs and lows. Not sure what service snagged the exclusive Bond deal, but I'm sure we'll find out soon.

  • Cast: Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Daniel Craig
  • Genre: Action
  • Rating: R
