One of the most valuable things about a Netflix subscription is its wide-ranging approach to content. It's really done the work to add something for just about every audience on a monthly basis. March is a great illustration. Preschoolers can vibe with Sesame Street, anime junkies get Jojos, and science nerds get a four-part dino docuseries. There's true crime, stand-up comedy, and much more. Here's our guide to the most interesting new series and movies on the streaming service in March.
The Dinosaurs (March 6)
Will we ever stop being fascinated by the giant lizards that ruled the Earth before the age of mammals? Not with documentaries like The Dinosaurs on the scene. From Silverback Films and Amblin Entertainment, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, this is a big-budget series that covers over 165 million years in four episodes, from the Triassic period to their extinction at the end of the Cretaceous, using cutting-edge effects, the latest scientific knowledge, and masterful storytelling.
- Directors: Nick Shoolingin-Jordan, Jolyon Sutcliffe, Amber Cherry Eames, Darren Williams
- Narrator: Morgan Freeman
- Genre: Documentary
- Rating: TV-14
One Piece: Season 2 (March 10)
Live-action anime adaptations are a risky play, and Netflix has way more misses than hits. That's why we were so surprised that 2023's One Piece series worked so well. The wacky characters and stretchy action of the franchise were capably brought to life in a candy-colored world, and it was renewed for a second season almost immediately. Now it's here, with self-styled king of pirates Monkey D. Luffy continuing his quest for treasure, this time butting heads with Marine Captain Smoker and his crew as he enters the Grand Line.
- Cast: Inaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu
- Genre: Action
- Rating: TV-14
- IMDB Rating: 8.3/10
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (March 20)
This is an interesting one. Peaky Blinders is one of the most popular British shows on Netflix, and after six seasons, it came to a close in 2022, to the disappointment of fans. But creator Steven Knight realized he had another story to tell, so he's taking us back to Birmingham, this time in 1940. As World War II rages, former gang leader Tommy Shelby returns home to find that the more things change, the more your problems stay the same.
- Director: Tom Harper
- Cast: Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth
- Genre: Drama
- Rating: R
