(Paramount+)

Of all the streaming services, it's fair to say that Paramount+ has the most dependence on broadcast networks, with lots of shows from CBS drawing viewers. Many of them, including Matlock and NCIS: Origins, have their season finales this month. There's new content, too, including critically acclaimed movies, concerts, shows, and more. Here's your look at everything coming to Paramount+ with Showtime this month.

The Last Stop In Yuma County (April 1)

When a traveling knife salesman pulls into a gas station in the middle of an Arizona desert only to find the pumps are dry and the refill truck won't be by for a little while, he figures he's just in for a boring wait. But when a pair of bank robbers pull up fresh off a heist, things get tense quickly in this sun-baked noir debut from director Francis Galluppi. Critics raved about The Last Stop In Yuma County, so give it a watch.

An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile (April 6)

There's a fair amount of interesting musical content on Paramount+, and this new concert, filmed on March 26 at London’s iconic Palladium Theatre, pairs one of the top pop stars in history with Elton John and modern star Brandi Carlile for a combined concert where each plays solo sets and then comes together for tracks from their new collaborative album, “Who Believes in Angels.” It should be a good time.

The Return (April 21)

Mythology heads will dig The Return, which stars Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus returning home from the Trojan War, only to find that after 20 years away, things back in Ithaca aren't quite so peaceful. His wife Penelope, played by Juliette Binoche, is being pressed to replace him, while his son Telemachus fears for his life as internal threats close in. Gritty and spectacularly acted, this is the kind of movie for grown-ups that they don't make enough of these days.
