Here's to another week of new content on Netflix! One of the most interesting additions is a batch of History Channel dramatizations of the lives of American presidents. But even if you're not a history buff, there's plenty of other stuff to catch, including a long-awaited MMA bout between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. Here's what you should put on your watchlist.

This Week on Netflix: PCMag's Picks

The WONDERfools (May 15)

Getting superpowers doesn't mean you have to put on spandex and go hunt the Infinity Stones. The hapless group of everyday people who develop abilities in the new Korean series The WONDERfools have to deal with the upcoming Y2K panic (it's set in 1999) and a wave of mysterious disappearances in Haesong City. This show is based on an original concept by Marvel Comics scribe Stan Lee, but it's obviously been through changes since it was first announced in 2018.

  • Director: Yoo In-sik
  • Cast: Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Hae-sook
  • Genre: Comedy
  • Rating: TV-14

The Crash (May 15)

Netflix has a lock on documentaries about bizarre crimes, and The Crash fits the bill. Here's the short version: in June 2022, Mackenzie Shirilla was driving her boyfriend and their friend home from a party when she suddenly accelerated her Toyota Camry to nearly 100 miles an hour and drove it into a building, killing the two passengers. Why? That's the question, and this doc dives into the stories on both sides, as well as the eventual trial and its repercussions.

  • Director: Gareth Johnson
  • Genre: Documentary
  • Rating: TV-MA

Abraham Lincoln (May 18)

If you're into presidents, May 18 is going to be a holiday for you on Netflix, as the streamer is dropping a slew of History Channel dramatizations of some of the greatest leaders in American history. They've got FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, and more, but the best-rated one is the 2022 Abraham Lincoln, which follows Lincoln from his wild childhood in Kentucky to the highest office in the land.

  • Director: Malcolm Venville
  • Cast: Graham Sibley, Stefan Adegbola, Jenny Stead
  • Genre: Drama
  • Rating: TV-14
  • IMDB Rating: 8.4/10
