When Disney+ launched, it definitely seemed like the most family-friendly streaming service, but as it gets closer to merging with Hulu, the lines are blurring. Case in point: The Punisher: One Last Kill, a defiantly mature-rated special bringing back Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in his bullet-riddled war on crime, premieres May 12 on Disney+.

That's not the only thing hitting Hulu and Disney+, though. We've got highly-rated movies, compelling TV shows, and more. The full list of content arriving on the streaming services is below.

This Week on Hulu and Disney+: PCMag's Picks

We Bury the Dead (May 8, Hulu)

If you're on the lookout for a zombie movie with ambitions that go beyond blood and gore, We Bury the Dead is made for you. Daisy Ridley stars as a physiotherapist who travels to a remote Australian town after a mysterious explosion raises the walking dead. With her husband missing and a potential victim, things get very unsettling. Critics loved this one, noting its great sense of scale.

  • Director: Zak Hilditch
  • Stars: Daisy Ridley, Brenton Thwaites, Mark Coles Smith
  • Genre: Horror
  • Rating: R
  • IMDb Rating: 5.6/10

The Punisher: One Last Kill (May 12, Disney+)

It's pretty wild that we've got a Punisher special on a Disney-owned streaming service, but all bets are off in 2026. Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, the obsessed vigilante waging a one-man war on crime. He also co-wrote this hour-long episode, in which the character tries to put his mass-murdering days behind him, only for his past actions to catch up with him. Bernthal is the best actor to ever play the character, so this is a can't-miss.

  • Director: Reinaldo Marcus Green
  • Cast: Jon Bernthal, Chelsea Brea, Colton Hill
  • Genre: Thriller
  • Rating: TV-MA

Welcome to Wrexham: Season 5 (May 14, Hulu)

One of the odder success stories on Hulu network partner FX, Welcome to Wrexham follows actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac as they buy a struggling Welsh soccer team. Over the past four seasons, they've managed to turn things around, getting promoted multiple times to the EFL Championship. What happens next? We see if they can hack it at the top.

  • Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Rob Mac, Humphrey Ker
  • Genre: Documentary
  • Rating: TV-PG
  • IMDB Rating: 8.3/10
