The Desloc D110 Plus is a Wi-Fi-enabled smart lock that gives you a wealth of ways to unlock your door—including a fingerprint scanner, a touch screen keypad, an IC card, and a traditional key. In addition to mobile app controls, the lock works with Alexa and Google voice commands. It's easy to install and, at $159.99, it is a good value for a multifunction smart lock. For even more integration options, the Ultraloq Bolt Fingerprint ($199.99, but often available for $139.99) is compatible with virtually all smart home platforms and offers a similar array of authentication methods to the Desloc, making it our Editors' Choice for smart locks.
Design and Features: Sleek, Sturdy, and Weatherproof
Available in black or silver, the Desloc Smart Lock D110 Plus uses an aluminum-alloy enclosure with an IP54 weatherproof rating that protects against dust and rain. It’s a complete lock assembly that fits doors 1-3/8 to 2 inches thick with a 2-1/8-inch hole diameter. The package includes interior and exterior escutcheons, mounting and strike plate hardware, two keys, two IC cards, and a user manual. Four AA batteries provide the power—up to six months' worth—but you’ll have to supply your own; the package doesn't include any.
The exterior escutcheon measures 6.1 by 2.9 by 1.1 inches (HWD) and has a backlit touch-screen keypad with buttons for numbers 0 through 9, a lock/unlock button, and a menu button that can be used to program the lock without the mobile app. At the top of the keypad is a small embedded screen that displays options when the menu button is pressed, along with other information such as Wi-Fi signal strength, battery life, and whether an unlock attempt succeeded or failed.
Positioned between the status screen and the keypad is a fingerprint scanner, and below the keypad is a traditional keyway. The D110 Plus can store up to 50 fingerprint profiles and up to 100 PIN codes, and you can program the two IC-card fobs for specific user access. A USB-C port embedded on the bottom edge can be used to supply emergency power if battery power fails. (Some other locks, like the $159.99 Yale Assure Lock 2, also let you charge them externally if the battery conks out.)
The D110 Plus's interior escutcheon measures 6.2 by 2.7 by 1.1 inches (HWD) and has a thumb-turn knob at the bottom. Behind a removable cover are the battery compartment and a reset button, which you use to return the lock to its factory settings.
Software and Settings: Lots of Access, Security Options
The D110 Plus uses the Desloc mobile app for iOS and Android devices. On the My Devices screen, the lock gets its own panel that shows its status (locked or unlocked), Wi-Fi signal strength, and battery level. When you tap the panel, it takes you to a screen with the same status information, a picture of the lock, a slider to lock and unlock the door, and other control options. There's also a list of Events, including times when the door was locked or unlocked.

Visitors can be given Always (24/7) or One-Pass (one-time) access; you can also create an access schedule for specific time periods.

The Settings tab lets you enable Vacation mode (which allows only Always and One-Pass users to unlock the door), enable Auto-Lock, and set a timer for the lock to engage. Via Settings, you can also turn on a number of functions, including Anti-Peeping Passcodes (which lets you add random digits before or after your PIN code to fool nosey observers) and Failed Attempt Protection (the maximum number of incorrect codes before the device goes into a three-minute lockdown mode and generates an alert). Finally, you can use the Anti-Hijacking feature to create a passcode or register a specific fingerprint to send an alert to all users linked to the lock, as well as a designated emergency contact, in the event of an emergency.
In terms of third-party device integrations, the D110 Plus works with Alexa and Google Assistant. The Ultraloq Bolt Fingerprint offers more integration options, including Apple HomeKit, IFTTT, Samsung SmartThings, and Alexa and Google.
Installation and Performance: Fast and Accurate
Installing the D110 Plus was just as easy as putting in any deadbolt. I removed my old lock, installed the deadbolt assembly and strike, and attached the exterior escutcheon to the mounting plate using the included screws. Next, I connected the data cable from the exterior escutcheon to the interior one, then attached the interior cable to the mounting plate.
From there, I downloaded the Desloc mobile app, created an account, and tapped Add Device on the devices screen. I confirmed that the lock and batteries were installed, hit Scan to Add, and used my phone’s camera to scan the QR code on the removable battery cover. The app immediately discovered the lock, so I followed the on-screen instructions to create a passcode and register a fingerprint. Finally, I entered my Wi-Fi credentials to complete the installation.
The D110 Plus worked perfectly in testing. Fingerprint scans were fast and accurate, and the keypad was responsive and well-lit. The lock adhered to One-Pass assignments and user access schedules, and the Anti-Hijacking, Auto-Lock, and Anti-Peeping Passcode features worked as intended.
The lock also responded instantly to Alexa voice commands, and my Alexa routine to have the D110 Plus lock automatically when a Reolink Elite Floodlight detected motion worked every time.
