Exercise is hard, especially if you don't have the right jams to push you through. Spotify's new Soundtrack Your Workout quiz helps subscribers find the perfect tunes to motivate, invigorate, or relax.

Visit the interactive website to answer a series of questions about your workout type and length, preferred sounds (music and/or podcasts, explicit or clean content) and partners, and your training "vibe." Add an optional cover image and playlist title and click "Soundtrack My Workout" to get started.

My "30-minute totally zen pop, rock playlist that I can walk/meditate to" features tracks from some of my most-played albums (including The Greatest Showman, Waitress, and Lenka), as well as short-and-sweet episodes from the Politico Energy podcast. It's not an exact science: I love belting along with the Swedish Nightingale to "Never Enough," but the hearty ballad doesn't exactly put me in the right frame of mind to relax into cobra pose.

Still, it's fun to see what Spotify's algorithms dig up depending on your answers. "In the last two months, Spotify listeners have created more than 1 million playlists with 'workout' in the title, so it's clear users are on the hunt for new tunes to add to their fitness mixes," according to a company blog post.

This isn't Spotify's first quiz-based playlist rodeo. In November, the firm introduced "Soundtrack Your Ride"—customized playlists for your next road trip. Calculate the length of your journey, fill out a quick questionnaire, and hit the road with the perfect set of tunes. Pet lovers, meanwhile, can now connect with their furry friends on a deeper level, thanks to Spotify's pawfect playlists.
