The greatly anticipated Motorola Droid X is officially available on the Verizon network, beginning today.

The Droid X became PCMag.com's latest Editors' Choice on Verizon when we reviewed it because of its speedy processor, Wi-Fi hotspot mode, Bluetooth voice dialing, and excellent reception and noise cancellation. With that said, it's not a completely flawless phone; it's rather bulky, and we ran into trouble playing HD content over the HDMI cable when testing.

The Motorola Droid X will run $299.99 with a two-year contract, minus a $100 mail-in rebate. All Verizon Wireless customers with contracts ending in 2010 are eligible for the $299.99 price.

Verizon has already previewed a number of Droid X accessories.
