Fitness tracker sales continue to soar, but the smartwatch is becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

That's good news for Garmin, which this week revealed a premium version of its multisport watch.

The Fenix Chronos is available now in three "luxurious" styles, starting at $899.99 for the leather band model and $999.99 for a stainless steel strap. The high-end version, featuring a titanium band, costs a whopping $1,499.99. Each comes with an interchangeable silicone sport band, as well, for sweatier endeavors.

All versions feature a high-strength, scratch-resistant sapphire lens and 1.2-inch Chroma Display with LED backlighting and a 100-meter water rating. Equipped with daily activity tracking tech, the watch can monitor steps taken, calories burned, stairs climbed, heart rate, and sleep quality.

Plus, Garmin's Connect IQ function promises total customization via free apps, widgets, watch faces, and data fields. Users can also pair their Fenix Chronos with a compatible phone to receive incoming calls, texts, emails, and other alerts on their wrist.

Boasting up to 25 hours of battery life in UltraTrac battery saver mode, Fenix Chronos can manage up to 13 hours in GPS mode and one week in smartwatch mode (depending on settings).

This marks the latest addition to Garmin's smartwatch lineup, which in February grew to include the Vivoactive HR—aimed at sports lovers—and the Vivofit 3. In May, the company introduced Vivomove, a smart analog watch starting at $150 that can last up to a year on a single charge.
