Readying yourself for an international vacation? If you're with Ultra Mobile, you can now get up to 5GB of data, along with allowances for minutes and texts, in 200+ destinations, with the Go Roam World Pass.
Ultra Mobile is offering five- and 15-day passes. The $5 five-day plan includes 1GB of high-speed data, 100 minutes of talk time, 100 outgoing texts, and unlimited incoming SMS.
You have to spend extra to activate a pass with the cheapest option, giving you 1GB of data, 100 minutes, and 100 texts, all usable over a five-day period. This costs $5, regardless of the region you access it from.

Ultra Mobile lets you stack these deals, so if you need more or your trip isn't covered by either timeframe, you can add additional deals on top. You have 360 days from the date of purchase to activate each pass.
Ultra Mobile doesn't specify the exact speeds travelers can expect, but it's owned by T-Mobile, so performance should be similar to that carrier. The countries included in the offer are listed on Ultra Mobile’s website, with a tool to check whether your vacation destination is included.
All Ultra Mobile plans already include talk and text allowances for Canada and Mexico, but internet access varies by plan. You need a Go Roam World Pass for Canada, while you need a Go Roam Mexico Data Pass for Mexico. This is included at no extra cost for all customers with a monthly plan of 24GB or more, while others can pay $5 for 5GB of data.
Ultra Mobile already offers international calling and texts to 90 destinations within its plans, so you can message or call people abroad from the US at no extra cost.
T-Mobile offers a similar system with international roaming passes, but it doesn't have such competitive pricing. A one-day use pass on T-Mobile gives you unlimited calls and up to 2GB of data for $10. If you opt for a 10-day pass, you'll get 5GB of data for $35, while a 30-day pass gives you 15GB for $50.
