If you've always wanted an Amazon Echo Dot with Clock, you had better act fast. As soon as Amazon sells out of its remaining stock, it'll be gone forever. You can opt for similar products, like the Echo Spot, but they aren't quite the same.

Amazon still has some inventory of the Echo Dot with Clock, though only in the Cloud Blue fabric colorway. Glacier White is already sold out and won't be replenished.

"You can check the product page for the latest device availability, but once inventory of this generation Echo Dot with Clock is sold through it will not be restocked," an Amazon spokesperson tells The Verge.

The Echo Dot with Clock is, as its name suggests, a variant of the Echo Dot with an LED clock for when you don't want to ask Alexa for the time. Its light can auto-dim in a darkened room.

Beyond the clock, it houses all the usual features of the Echo Dot. It earned an "Excellent" 4 out of 5 rating from PCMag and an Editors' Choice award, in part for adding visible information like song titles and weather conditions on the most recent version. It lost points for dropping the 3.5mm jack, meaning you can't hook it up to nicer speakers for music playback. That was unfortunate since its size and price point limited its own speaker capabilities.

The speaker's demise might seem obvious in hindsight. Neither it nor the non-clock version of the Dot have been updated since 2022. Instead, Amazon resurrected the Echo Spot, which features a full display, as opposed to the LED matrix of the Echo Dot with Clock. It does lean back, though, which, while perfect for use on a nightstand, might limit its usefulness in other places. We found plenty to like about it, especially the extra ports that allow you to charge your devices. That's handy if you have limited outlet space.

The Echo Spot does cost more than the Echo Dot with Clock, so if you want a capable-enough Echo Device that tells time, pick up a Dot before it sells out—assuming Amazon doesn't eventually announce a new one. It typically refreshes its Echo devices in the fall.
