School isn’t back in session for a few months, but students should keep their eyes open for Apple’s annual back-to-school event, which is reportedly next week. Last year’s event featured gift cards alongside gadget purchases and discounts on AppleCare+ plans.

According to Bloomberg, Apple’s annual back-to-school offers are expected to go live on June 17 in the US. They're applied on top of Apple’s education savings, which already bring down the cost of products like the MacBook Air by $100 and the iPad Air by $50.

Products eligible for the offer often include the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. Apple might also offer complimentary gift cards with each purchase, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Last year’s gift cards were worth $100 to $150, according to MacRumors. These could be redeemed toward purchases of Apple products or accessories, App Store apps, and Apple services like iCloud+, Apple Care+, and Apple Music

To be eligible for the program, you typically need to be a student enrolled in or recently accepted to college, a faculty or staff member at a higher-education institution, a parent buying on behalf of an eligible student, or an employee of a K-12 institution. You might be required to provide a .edu email or an ID to make the purchase.

Once the offer goes live, more information regarding discounts and eligibility should be available on Apple’s online education store. Gurman has been accurate about the launch date for the last three years, so discounts may appear on the site next week, and they usually remain available until mid-September.
