Mobile Edge ScanFast Sorona.jpg
Mobile Edge recently unveiled the new ScanFast 2.0 line of laptop bags. They meet TSA guidelines, so you won't have to remove your laptop from the case at security checkpoints, but that isn't the main attraction here. These bags are made of DuPont Sorona, an eco-friendly fabric that is partially made of corn.

The Sorona fabric manufacturing process reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 63 percent and uses 30 percent less energy when compared to petroleum-based fabrics such as nylon and polyester. Sorona is soft, but also very strong and highly stain resistant, making it an excellent choice for heavily-used travel bags.

The current ScanFast 2.0 collection includes a briefcase, messenger bag, and backpack. The briefcase and messenger bag fit laptops up to 16-inches, while the backpack can accommodate slightly larger 17.3-inch laptops. The bags are all black, with subtle green accent stitching.

Each bag carries a lifetime warranty and is priced at $99.99, though the backpack is currently on sale for $84.99 as part of a back-to-school sale. The bags are now available for purchase directly from Mobile Edge.
