PocketInformant, a calendar and task-management application that has been quite popular on other mobile platforms such as Windows Mobile and BlackBerry, has finally landed on the Apple iPad. Taking advantage of the iPad's large screen, PocketInformant HD offers multiple calendar views and complete task management in your choice of Franklin Covey, Getting Things Done, or Toodledo methodologies.

The iPhone version of the app has also been updated to Version 1.5 and includes several major new features. The most notable is location-based alerts, a feature that monitors your location and automatically notifies you when you're close to an area where you can finish some of your tasks.

Both apps include over-the-air synchronization with Google, Toodledo, and Outlook, as well as a calendar with today, landscape and portrait week, month, list, task, and search views.

PocketInformant HD for iPad is currently available in the Apple App Store for the introductory price of $6.99. PocketInformant for iPhone is currently on sale for $5.99, a savings of $7.00 off of the regular price.
