NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service is finally available on Fire TV and Fire tablets. Subscribers can now watch on-demand movies and shows, as well as live news and sports, at home and on-the-go using Amazon's devices.

Launching today on Fire TV devices and Fire tablets, the Peacock app is compatible with Amazon's entire Fire TV lineup, including the Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick Lite, and Fire TV Smart televisions. Users can also solicit Alexa to open and watch premiere shows by simply saying, "Alexa, find Peacock TV," "Alexa, watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," or "Alexa, watch Brave New World."

The Comcast-owned platform provides instant access to thousands of hours of movies and TV shows—from old treasures to fresh takes—via a free (ad-supported) tier. For access to everything Peacock has to offer, subscribe to Premium's 4K/HDR content for $4.99 per month ($49.99 a year), or upgrade to ad-free Premium Plus for an additional $9.99 per month ($99.99 a year). A small number of programs—Peacock channels, events, some shows and films—still contain ads, as per streaming rights.

"It's no secret that NBC has some fantastic shows," according to an Amazon Fire TV blog announcement, which tipped "beloved favorites" like The Office, Parks and Recreation, SNL, Friday Night Lights, and Law & Order: SVU, as well as nostalgia-inducing '90s titles (think Frasier, Saved by the Bell, and 3rd Rock from the Sun) and "lots of reality shows." "And get excited for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics with exclusive documentaries, including Golden, The '96 Effect, and more," the company boasted.
