For its biggest Razr foldable phone refresh in recent years, Motorola is introducing three new flip models and announcing an on-sale date for the previously announced Razr Fold.

They launch alongside a new stylus pen designed for select flagship devices and new Moto Buds 2 Plus true wireless headphones.

Every new product receives a technical overhaul—and a price hike. Expect to pay up to $200 more than you did for previous-gen devices. This comes after Motorola began hiking prices on its budget phones earlier this month, likely due to the ongoing global storage crisis.

The headliner of the new Motorola Razr 2026 series is the Fold, a book-style foldable that competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. It will cost $1,899.99 when it goes on sale on May 21. Preorders begin on May 14 from Best Buy and Motorola, with launches planned on T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, and Verizon in the coming months.

The previously announced Moto Pen Ultra, compatible with the Razr Fold and Signature devices, is also set to launch on May 21 for $99.99.

Motorola Razr Ultra

Onto the brand-new products: the top-end option is a new Motorola Razr Ultra. This is the best spec available in a flip-foldable from Motorola, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite inside, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB of storage, a 7-inch 1,224-by-2,992 inner display, and a 4-inch 1,272-by-1,080 outer screen. Both screens feature a 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

There are three powerful 50MP cameras, including a main shooter with a f/1.8 aperture and 2.0μm Quad Pixel tech, paired with an ultrawide capable of macro shooting and a 122-degree field of view. The third 50MP shooter is an internal selfie shooter embedded in the screen.

One of the biggest upgrades is a 5,000 mAh battery. There’s also 68W fast-charging alongside wireless charging. Your color options for the Razr Ultra are Orient Blue with an Alcantara Finish or Cocoa with a wood design.

Motorola Razr+ 2026

The new Motorola Razr+ 2026 comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, alongside a 6.9-inch inner AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 by 2,620. The outer display is 4 inches, but lower spec at 1,272 by 1,080 resolution.

The cameras aren't as impressive as the Ultra, but they're still 50MP for the main and ultrawide cameras, along with a 32MP selfie shooter. The battery is 4,500mAh, with charging up to 45W and wireless charging support. The phone comes in one green shade, called Mountain View.

Then there’s the cheaper, lower-spec Razr, which comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chip, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. That may be too limiting for you, as there are no options for storage expansion. Other specs include a 6.9-inch inner AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 by 2,640 alongside a 3.6-inch outer display at 1,056 by 1,066.

There’s a 4,800mAh battery with 30W charging, and two 50MP rear cameras, plus a 32MP selfie camera. The phone comes in four colors: Bright White, Hematite, Sporting Green, and Violet Ice.

And Now, the Bad News...

All three phones come with the latest Android 16 software onboard, plus a variety of Moto AI features. Unfortunately, each one costs more than previous generations. The Razr Ultra is the most egregious, jumping to $1,499.99 from $1,299.99 for the last-gen Ultra. The Razr+ costs $1,099.99, up from $999.99 on the 2025 phone, and the Razr jumps $100 to $799.99.

They all launch on May 21, with preorders beginning on May 14, and each will be available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola itself. The Ultra isn't available through any carriers, while the Razr+ is set to launch on AT&T, with a T-Mobile launch set for later.

The standard Razr is easier to buy with support for Boost Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Cox Mobile, Google Fi Wireless, Spectrum Mobile, Verizon, Visible, and Xfinity Mobile on May 21. Cricket Wireless and T-Mobile are also coming soon.

Moto Buds 2 Plus

Motorola also used this launch to introduce a new pair of true wireless headphones, the Moto Buds 2 Plus, in collaboration with Bose. You can buy the headphones from May 30, and they cost $149.99 in a dark blue color called Silhouette.

Motorola says the earbuds will last up to nine hours of playtime, with an additional 31 hours in the charging case. There’s also Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation, which uses six microphones to analyze your environment and tweak settings. The collaboration with Bose means Motorola offers what it calls “a layered, detailed audio experience” through 11mm drivers.
