Are you having Google Pixel battery life problems? Thousands of people have reported issues via Google's Issue Tracker and forums throughout April, with more joining every day.

It appears to be connected to the March 2026 Pixel update, but persists even after installing the latest April release. Users from the Pixel 6 through to last year’s Pixel 10 series are affected, with issues appearing to be more common on newer devices.

Not all devices are affected, but the problems are widespread: over 2,500 people have reported it on Google's Issue Tracker, which has attracted over 600 comments.

As spotted by 9to5Google, one user found that their phone's poor battery performance appears to be due to the CPU waking up even when the phone isn’t in use. They say the phone is "physically prevented from entering Deep Doze," meaning it still drains the battery with the screen off, even when the device is moved to Airplane Mode.

Google’s support team first acknowledged the issue on April 14, requesting additional information to help with a fix. The problems appear to date back further than that, with Android Authority reporting some were affected as early as March.

It's been over a week without any clarity on what comes next. If you’re experiencing this, consider adding your information to the Issue Tracker thread. So far, there’s no workaround, so be wary of your phone's battery life when you're away from a charger.
