Samsung has unveiled its latest set of foldable phones, and they look cleaner and leaner than ever. While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 were expected, Samsung surprised everyone by introducing a brand-new Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fan Edition (FE) phone.
All three phones come with Android 16, One UI 8, and the latest Galaxy AI features. When compared to last year’s Flip 6 and Fold 6, the new ones pack an upgraded chip (the custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite), a slightly larger display, a thinner form factor, and improved camera resolutions. Surprisingly, the Z Fold 7 has lost support for the S Pen stylus.
The detailed specs for the Flip 7 FE weren’t available at the time of writing, but it is meant to provide customers with a more affordable foldable. It’s available in white and black and starts at $899.99, while the larger Flip 7 starts at $1,099 and is available in blue, black, coral red, and mint. The flagship Fold 7, on the other hand, starts at $1,999.99 and comes in blue, black, silver, and mint.
If the prices seem a bit high, don’t worry. There are a few carrier discounts that can make these purchases easier on the pocket. We have narrowed down some of them below.
Verizon Preorders and Deals
With Verizon, you can get the Flip 7 for at $30.55 per month for 36 months, and the Fold 7 at $55.55 per month for 36 months. For these three years, the prices (base monthly rates) will remain locked on all myPlan and myHome network plans.
The carrier is also offering huge trade-in discounts for both regular and business customers. All Unlimited Ultimate subscribers can get a free Flip 7 or up to $1,100 off on Fold7 with eligible trade-ins.
New and upgrading Verizon Business customers, on the other hand, can get up to $1,000 off on one of the two phones. To grab the discount, however, they will need a My Biz Plan with $20 monthly add-on spending.
There’s also a buy one, get one offer. If you purchase a Flip 7 or Fold 7 with the Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus plan, you get a 256GB Flip7 phone for free. All you have to do is add one more line to the plan.
With each Flip 7 or Fold 7 purchase on the Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus plan, Verizon will also be offering six months of free Google AI Pro, which usually costs $19.99 per month.
You can place your Flip 7 and Fold 7 preorders at Verizon stores, on the My Verizon app, or verizon.com today, and the phones will be made available starting July 25.
Xfinity Mobile Preorders and Deals
Xfinity offers deals similar to Verizon's. If you are on a Premium Unlimited or an Unlimited Premium Flex plan, you can get the Flip 7 or the Flip 7FE for free with eligible trade-ins. With the same plans, you can get $1,100 off a Fold7 with an eligible trade-in.
Customers who do not have a trade in can still get $500 off the new Samsung line of phones. Xfinity is offering up to $500 per line (up to five) to switch from another mobile provider.
AT&T Preorders and Deals
Like its counterparts, AT&T is also offering attractive trade-in deals. Until July 24, on eligible trade-ins, you can get up to $1,100 off on both Flip 7 and Fold 7. However, you need to pick a 36-month installment plan that costs up to $58.89 per month to qualify.
For Business customers, on the other hand, the Fold 7 starts at $899.99, and the Flip 7 starts at $199.99. Both these deals require a three-year service commitment.
You can preorder the new phones at AT&T stores and its website right now, with general availability starting July 25.
T-Mobile Preorders and Deals
With T-Mobile, you can get $600 off any Galaxy Z series phone by adding a line to most plans, and you can get $500 off while trading in a device on most plans.
If you have Experience More, Experience Beyond, Experience More for Business, or Experience Beyond for Business plans, you can get up to $1,100 off Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 or Galaxy Z Fold7. All of these plans come with T-Mobile’s flexible device upgrades and five-year price guarantee.
In all these cases, T-Mobile’s Fold 7 and Flip 7 offers will come with a 24-month bill credit plus tax. You can place preorders on the website now, and the handsets will become available both in stores and online starting July 25.
