The Nothing Phone 3 launches in July and is set to be a big step forward for the relatively new Android brand.

Nothing didn't provide an exact launch date, but a new teaser video shows a flashing three with the tagline “It’s a magic number." Little else is given away in the clip.

During last week’s pre-Google I/O Android Show event, Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased the upcoming phone, referring to it as the brand’s “first true flagship smartphone.”

Pei said to expect “premium materials, major performance upgrades, and software that really levels things up.” He also said the phone will cost more than previous generations at "around £800" in the UK. A straight currency conversion today suggests the phone would cost around $1,050 in the US, but it's more likely the brand would opt for $1,000 or $1,100.

Previously, Pei has hinted that it may be easier to buy a Nothing Phone 3 than it has been to buy the brand’s previous handsets. If you live in the US, you normally have to buy the phone through the company’s developer beta program, which means you don't get a warranty or after sales service.

A fan asked whether the phone would be available outside of the beta channel in the US, and Pei replied “100%!” with an American flag emoji. The company has yet to share anything more on how you'll be able to buy the phone.

Leaks around the Phone 3 have suggested it could sport a top-end Snapdragon chipset, which will likely be from Qualcomm. If true, it may be the Snapdragon 8 Elite or possibly the slightly less powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Other leaks from Smartprix point to a triple-lens camera with a powerful telephoto, and a battery that may exceed 5,000mAh.

Adding to Pei’s recent marketing efforts, the CEO recently poked fun at Apple CEO Tim Cook for poaching one of his senior employees. Mladen M. Hoyss, until recently the Software Creative Director at Nothing, is now part of Apple's design team. Pei shared Hoyss' announcement post on X tagging Cook's and adding,a “Let me know if you need any more product help."
