New devices mean new accessories, and Apple has a long list of add-ons to accompany its new iPhones. I've been following Apple's fall event for years and can't recall the last time the company unveiled so many in one go. Some are brand new, while others are making a comeback. Let’s jump into each of them, starting with a few that are making the headlines.

iPhone Air MagSafe Battery

Going by reactions on social media and elsewhere, the star of this week's event is the iPhone Air. Apple promises 27 hours of video playback, but if that's not enough, the company has reintroduced the MagSafe Battery. When snapped onto the iPhone Air, the $99 MagSafe Battery provides 12W of fast wireless charging and extends the phone's battery life by 65%. Unfortunately, the Air is the only iPhone it supports wirelessly. You can, however, connect a cable to its USB-C port and charge other small accessories, Apple says.

Protect your phone from falls (and pickpockets) with the $59 Crossbody strap. It has magnets for length adjustment, and its ends slide into two holes at the bottom of Apple's Silicone and TechWoven cases (below). When attached, your iPhone hangs upside down, like a purse. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of these on the streets in the near future.

iPhone 17 Cases: Clear, TechWoven, Silicon, Bumper

Apple has released a wide range of MagSafe-compatible cases for the iPhone 17 models, including the familiar $49 Silicone case. For the base iPhone 17, the silicon cases come in Neon Yellow, Anchor Blue, Purple Fog, Light Moss, and Black. All of these colors, except Light Moss, are available for the Pro models, along with bright Orange and Terracotta. You can also get $49 clear cases for the three phones that carry over from the previous generation.

Apple FineWoven cases are largely done, and in their place is a new material called TechWoven. Exclusively for the Pro Models, they cost $59 apiece and come in Blue, Purple, Sienna, Green, and Black. If you're disappointed that Apple didn't launch a black iPhone 17 Pro, pairing the black version of this case with the Deep Blue iPhone could be the next best thing.

For the iPhone Air, Apple has revived its edge-to-edge bumper cases with a transparent back. They cost $39 and come in four colors: Light Blue, Tan, Light Gray, and Black. The Air also gets $49 translucent polycarbonate cases in two colors: the lighter Frost and the darker Shadow.

Qi2 25W MagSafe Charger

Every iPhone 17 and iPhone 16 model supports the new 25W Qi2 wireless charging standard, but you'll need an updated MagSafe puck to take advantage of the faster speeds. Apple's new Qi2 25W MagSafe Charger comes in two sizes. The 1m cable costs $39, while the 2m cable costs $49. It is also compatible with iPhone 12, 13, 14, and 15, but they max out at 15W speeds.

40W Dynamic Power Adapter

If you haven't guessed already, Apple is going big on batteries this year, including its biggest battery yet in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. When you pair your USB-C cable with the new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter, you can charge your iPhone 17, Pro, and Pro Max to 50% in 20 minutes, and the iPhone Air to 50% in 30 minutes, Apple says. The adapter costs $39, and it's compatible with Apple Watches and AirPods as well.

In addition to all these iPhone accessories, you can also check out new key rings for the AirTag and plenty of new watch bands for the Apple Watch.
