Switch 2 preorders went live on April 24 and sold out in minutes, but you'll have another chance to grab Nintendo's next-gen console from GameStop and Best Buy.

Both retailers will have a limited number of additional Switch 2 units available for purchase online and in-store on launch day on June 5. GameStop confirmed the availability in an X post over the weekend, and Best Buy updated its dedicated Nintendo page to say the same.

Unsurprisingly, the console will be in limited supply. At GameStop, the Switch 2 launch event begins at 3 p.m. local time on June 4, with pickups starting at 12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT.

"Didn't preorder? Additional Switch 2 units will be available in-store and online at launch while supplies last," GameStop says in its post, adding that customers can also earn up to 40% in credit when trading in video games toward the Switch 2.

Best Buy has a similar launch event starting at 12.01 a.m. ET. "In addition to fulfilling preorders, most stores will have limited inventory of systems, games, and accessories for in-store purchase," Best Buy says on its website. "Customers will also have the chance to receive a Nintendo collectible."

Nintendo reportedly shipped over a million Switch 2 units to the US earlier this year to satisfy demand and avoid President Trump's tariffs. Still, many logged off empty-handed. GameStop, in fact, kept crashing repeatedly before eventually running out of stock. So, if you're targeting an online purchase from any of the restocked retailers, you'll have to be quick on launch day.
