LAS VEGAS—The forward-thinking technology on display at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, kicking off this week in Las Vegas, always seems futuristic. Expectations may be loftier this year, simply because 2020 seems like more of a science fiction year than a real one.
But here we are, surrounded by science fact. Artificial intelligence exists in the form of ubiquitous digital assistants, which we use to turn lights on and set kitchen timers in our increasingly smarter homes.
