USB flash drives have come a long way in terms of storage capacity, capabilities, and casing. We can put an entire bootable operating system on one, create a secure area on a USB key for safely storing data in encrypted formats, and even put one through the laundry without breaking it.

But one area of the USB flash drive that never ceases to amaze me is the design. Companies will go the distance to make their drives stand out from the rest of the pack, whether it's by utilizing wacky colors or shapes or incorporating unheard-of features. Some will even go so far as to make them wearable. Don't believe me? I've got the proof in this collection of 10 wacky flash drives.

Here are some of the products featured in the 10 Wacky USB Flash Drives slideshow:

USB Syringe Flash Drive
This has to be one of the most disturbing USB flash drives I've seen. The USB Syringe Flash Drive ($29) is shaped just like a syringe, measures 3.7 by 0.9 by 0.7 inches, and has 8GB of storage. Just make sure you order a clean one.

Barbecue USB Memory (8GB)
If your laptop's hungry for something crispy and spicy, then look no further than the Barbecue USB Memory stick ($42). With 8GB of memory, there's plenty of room for your favorite photos and music. Blue cheese not included.
