As an owner of an all-terrain vehicle and a frequent player of previous ATV Offroad Fury titles, I found the latest version—ATV Offroad Fury 4—to be the best yet. It has kept up with other racing games by offering garage mode (the ability to save multiple vehicles), upgradeable vehicle features (such as shocks and tires), track editor (for creating your own race tracks), and story mode (role-play as a real racer working from the bottom up). However, I found that while in story mode, you have to race all vehicle types (which includes ATVs, buggies and dirt bikes); I wanted to be able to choose one vehicle type with which to race.

As always, ATV Offroad Fury 4 continues its solid reputation of providing realistic tracks, easy handling, and exciting tricks. And, there's a freestyle mode for practicing tricks and riding skills. One minor complaint: the ATVs aren't named after actual ATVs. Still, anyone who enjoys ATV games, or racing games in general, will find this version seriously addictive.
