As its rivals dive deeper into natural-language AI, Apple is working on a supercharged version of Siri, but the company is not expected to release it until 2026, Bloomberg reports.

According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to announce Siri upgrades alongside iOS 19 and macOS 16 next year, but it may not formally launch until spring 2026.

Known internally as "LLM Siri," this next-gen Siri will support more human-like interactions and tap into App Intents, an Apple framework that makes apps more discoverable with system experiences. The end goal is to provide Siri with "more advanced, ChatGPT-like capabilities," Bloomberg says.

Meanwhile, iOS 18.2 is expected to launch in December and include a ChatGPT integration. OpenAI has been rolling out its own Advanced Voice Mode across devices, mostly recently the browser for paying members.
