Fashion meets function with the new Michael Kors Access smartwatch, available now in stores and online.

Introduced in March, the his-and-hers wearables kick off a new lineup of technology accessories from the luxury brand.

"Our customers love fashion and they're plugged in 24/7," Kors said in a statement. "I think they'll appreciate having social connectivity and health and fitness tracking all within a great-looking accessory."

Starting at $350 ($45 less than previously reported), the Access runs Google's Android Wear operating system, and syncs with iOS or Android phones.

"Michael Kors Access and Android Wear move the wearables category forward with smart, beautiful watches that help you stay on top of your daily life while expressing your personal style," said David Singleton, vice president of engineering for Google's wearable OS.

A "glamorous" gold version is aimed at women, while a "sporty" black model with interchangeable leather and silicon wristbands is available for men.

The customizable watches feature social media updates, text and email alerts, app notifications, built-in fitness tracking, and voice activation. Users can also change watch faces with a swipe, updating your look from the gym to the gala.

"We're excited to offer our customers smart, great-looking watches that will help them to stay on top of their daily lives while uniquely expressing their personal style," said John Idol, Michael Kors CEO.

The luxury fashion designer joins other Fossil Group brands like Emporio Armani, Chaps, Diesel, Kate Spade New York, and Skagen, which have plans to release more than 100 products—including display and non-display watches and fitness trackers—in 40 countries in time for the holiday season.
