Shazam is rolling out the blue carpet for artists to better connect with fans.

Following the summer launch of a new verified-artists program, the music discovery service is expanding the feature to everyone—from global superstars to garage-band breakthroughs.

"Our verified artists now have over a billion followers on Shazam," Head of Music Peter Szabo said, boasting big names like Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, and Sam Smith.

Initially open to 30 of the world's leading artists, the program now counts more than 200 verified users, who can publish Shazams and share their own discoveries with admirers.

Wonder what Maroon 5 or One Direction has been listening to? Curious what has caught Wiz Khalifa or Meghan Trainor's attention? Just look for the blue-and-white checkmark next to the performer's name and profile picture, and check out their list of recently Shazamed tracks.

And, if you share the same music taste as Imagine Dragons, click the heart under a song to like it, too.

To become a Verified Shazam Artist, visit shazam.com/verify and join folks like Coldplay, Usher, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, and Zac Brown Band, who've achieved a combined reach of 1.4 billion followers.

As many artists are, those already verified on Twitter must follow Shazam on the social network to be considered. Anyone who isn't Twitter-verified yet can enter a name and email address, then wait for further instruction.

"By launching shazam.com/verify, now we're welcoming all artists to share their moments of discovery with their fans," Szabo said in a statement. "We are creating an engagement that goes beyond a playlist or a recommendation. It's an organic, one-of-a-kind connection between millions of fans and the artists they love."
