Vaio today unveiled its first Windows 10 phone, the Phone Biz, which is aimed at the enterprise market.

The Phone Biz, first reported by The Verge, is Vaio's second attempt at a smartphone after last year's Vaio Phone. It runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, 16GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of external space via a microSD card. It sports a 5.5-inch, 1,080-by-1,920 display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and 2,800mAh battery. Users can also rely on built-in 4G/LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi. There's also a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2,800mAh battery.

But don't expect to get your hands on the sleek new device any time soon; at this point, it's only scheduled to launch in Japan.

A former subsidiary of Sony, Vaio was sold to Japan Industrial Partners Inc. (JIP) in early 2014. Vaio, however, is known for laptops; last month it released two new flagship notebooks—the deluxe Vaio Z and standard-model Vaio S, designed specifically for mobile professionals.

Windows Phone continues to struggle. Last fall, Microsoft revealed the Lumia 950, but it failed to take off in any significant way, perhaps in part because it's an AT&T exclusive. At CES, we saw Windows 10 devices from Alcatel and Acer, but the major U.S. handset makers have largely stuck with Android.
