As well as bringing a string of new deals to the table, TalkTalk will also be increasing prices for customers who don’t hop, skip and jump over to the new price plans.
From the 1st of November onwards, the older SimplyBroadband and TalkTalk Fibre deals will be going up by around £1.50, while the old line rental rate of £17.70/month will increase by £1.25.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, in every case the new prices work out to be more expensive than the merged deals announced recently, which also come with the added benefit of a guaranteed price for the duration of the contract.
TalkTalk will fully communicate the relevant price changes to its customers in due course, but PC Mag has been able to obtain a full list of all TalkTalk broadband, TV and line rental prices for November 2016 onwards.
Another change to the pricing deals is that line rental saver - which would let you buy a year’s worth of line rental in one lump sum - is gone. In the past, you’d be able to save on around a couple of months versus the standard rate by doing this, but in the brave new world of merged pricing, there’s no room for such things.
Note that all price information below doesn’t include discounts, so if you were able to sign up with a cheaper introductory rate you might be able to save a bit of cash before moving over to the new plans. TV Boosts are also not included in the price rises, so if you’d signed up to something like Sky Sports, that price won’t be affected.
