Sky Sports is back for the 2019-20 season with 128 Premier League games. With the launch of individual sports channels on Sky TV, it's never been easier to watch or stream Sky Sports live.

Although you won't be able to see every football game on TV with Sky Sports, so make sure you check out our feature on the best BT Sport deals for the 2019-20 Premier League season.

Sky Sports for existing Sky customers

There are two options for existing Sky customers if you want to upgrade to Sky Sports. Sky Sports packages include coverage of 128 live Premier League games throughout 2019/20, alongside over 170 EFL and 30 Scottish Premiership games, all in HD.

Winter Sale Sky TV Offer

You can either opt for the Football and Premier League package, now only £18 per month. Or, you can go big and buy into the total package, which includes every Sky Sports channel.

There's no limit to how long you need to subscribe to the football channels. You can sign up on a rolling monthly basis, meaning you can cancel Sky Sports in the off-season months, if you wish.

Alternatively, if you commit to taking Sky Sports for 18 months, you can get every channel for £23 per month, only £5 more than just going for one channel.

Sky Sports for new Sky customers

Sky are currently running a package deal that bundles every Sky Sports channel, in full HD, and a new Sky Q box for only £42 per month.

The deal includes every Sky Sports channel and will give you access to the 128 Premier League games this season. This is cheaper then buying the packages separately, and highly recommended.

The base price for a new Sky Q box is £22 p/m which includes the entertainment package for Sky as standard. Standard installation for the 1TB box is currently only £20 as well.

After this you can add on whatever other services you desire. You can choose from Sky Sports, Cinema, On-Demand, and Kids. If you want to have Sky around the home, there's a £13 extra monthly fee to pay on-top, alongside the cost for the Sky Q mini boxes, currently £50 each.

How much is Sky Sports on Virgin TV?

Currently Virgin offers Sky Sports HD in its Bigger and Ultimate bundles. Both these are complete house hold set ups, meaning you'll get TV, broadband, and entertainment packages for one monthly price.

There isn't as much flexibility with Virgin for new customers if you're looking to pick up a sports package, as these are your options.

But, existing Virgin customers can upgrade their package to include Sky Sports for an extra £7 per month on-top of the current rate.

How much is Sky Sports with NOW TV?

NOW TV subscribers can choose to buy 24 hour passes, weekly subscriptions or full monthly passes for Sky Sports streams.

NOW TV are also now offering a complete season pass for the next 10 months, meaning you pay a flat £199 fee, and get access to all Sky Sports channels for the duration of your deal.

This is ideal for cord cutters who don’t want to be lumbered with a lengthy pay TV contract, but want to be able to stream some (or all) of Sky’s Premier League games over an Internet connection.

NOW TV is a streaming service that lets you watch from your desktop, tablet, phone, smart TV, or games console.

How much is Sky Sports with BT TV?

If you have a BT TV and fibre broadband package, you can get Sky Sports Main Event as an bolt-on deal.

On Main Event you can find Sky Sports’ biggest and best sporting events including the Premier League, England Cricket, England Rugby Union Internationals, The Open Golf, and much more.

BT TV customers will also get Sky Sports Extra showing the rest of the live Premier League games available on Sky Sports.

The Sky Sports Main Event bolt-on is available in both SD or HD.

Sky Sports Mobile TV with Vodafone

With selected Vodafone Red 4G and 5G Pay Monthly and SIM-only plans, you can choose to get Sky Sports Mobile TV Pack 1 (including Sky Sports Premier League) included for free, for as long as you stay with Vodafone.

If you're on a 24 Month plan, then you get 24 months of inclusive Sky Sports Mobile TV.

Existing customers subscribing to Sky Sports Mobile TV Pack 1 will get Pack 2 thrown in for no extra cost. Likewise, if you're already paying £10.99/month for Pack 2, then you’ll qualify for a £5/month discount.

My Experience

I’ve been freelancing as a tech journalist for several years now, after long wanting to write about my passion for video games. I have bylines on Kotaku and other sites, but PCMag is where you can find most of my musings on gaming, its culture, and where the industry is going next. I also test online services for both businesses and individuals. If you’re interested in hearing me talk about entertainment, film, and TV, you can check out my Patreon and Substack, both under the name “Robby Knows.”

The Technology I Use

Most of the tech I use every day is within the Apple ecosystem. Currently, I rely on a 2025 MacBook Air for computing and dabble in art projects on my 6th-generation iPad Mini. I don't go anywhere without my AirPods Pro 2 in my pocket.

As an avid gamer, you better believe that I always have a controller in my hands if I’m not watching movies or TV. I use my PS5 and Switch 2 equally, depending on what’s the hot new release, and am always trying to find interesting ways to tinker with my Steam Deck.

Given the current state of social media and technology, I find myself going more analog to escape the noise. I have a modest collection of watches, both automatic and digital, to free myself from the pings and notifications of the modern world. I also put my phone in a ySky lockbox for 12 hours every night to reduce my screen time. I spent a lot of the past year trying to read good books rather than scroll through feeds.
