Barnes & Noble unveiled its new tablet-meets-ebook-reader, the Nook Color, a couple of weeks ago, and we were impressed. It's well-designed, fast, and combines some of the great features of a dedicated ebook reader—simple interface, easy downloading, and reading—with a full-color screen, Web power, and the app capabilities of a tablet. Before we started testing, though, we took some shots of the good-looking Android device, its packaging and all the goodies you'll get if you buy a $249 Nook Color for the holidays.
Barnes & Noble puts the Nook Color into a slick, clever, flip-open, magnetic case that snaps open to reveal the device itself, along with its cables (a USB cable and a USB adapter for wall charging) and a handy Getting Started guide. We turned it on, tapped around, and took plenty of pictures along the way.
