Nothing is worse than dropping a tablet and shattering the screen. Or feeling like you have to replace it because most of it works great, but the battery won't hold a charge anymore. Thankfully, the fine folks at iFixit are here to help rescue your Google Pixel tablet.

The Google Pixel Tablet is a compelling device for the price. At $500, you get a gadget that works as a tablet on the go and a dockable smart display. Sure, you could buy an iPad and a Nest Hub Max, but this serves almost the same functionality for less than the price of both.

Unfortunately, that also means you potentially lose both functions if anything breaks or stops working. And sending a device to the trash because of a weak battery, a broken USB-C port, or display isn't great for your wallet or the environment. And now, you may not have to.

Over at iFixit, you can now purchase official Google Pixel tablet parts for repair. So far, the company offers replacement batteries, screens, ports, cameras, and the rear case. It also provides repair guides to help you make the most of the parts.

It's worth noting that iFixit authored the repair guides, and Google doesn't endorse them. But iFixit helpfully provides thorough instructions, pictures, and estimates on difficulty and time to repair. A glance suggests even replacing the battery and screen is of "moderate" difficulty and should take at most an hour to accomplish.

You can purchase the Google Pixel parts today at iFixit, along with the tools you need and components for many other gadgets, including smartphones and game consoles.
