JBL makes some of the best affordable speakers, and its new range announced at IFA 2025 includes its first product to sit between its Clip 5 and Flip 7.

The new JBL Grip hits a sweet spot for the brand with a $99 price tag. It’s designed to look like a soda can, with JBL saying it's “small enough to hold in one hand” while still packing powerful audio. It features up to 14 hours of play time, an IP68 water-resistance rating, Auracast support, and JBL's AI Sound Boost tech to get improved bass without distortion.

The rear of the speaker also features a pill-shaped ambient light. You can use the JBL app to tailor how the lighting will work on the rear of the speaker, so you can decide whether you want it to be static or flashing.

The speaker comes in many different colors with options of black, blue, camo, pink, purple, red, and white. It will go on sale on Sept. 28, but you can preorder today from JBL.

JBL also introduced a new top-end powerful party speaker, alongside the Grip. It’s almost the opposite end of the spectrum, though, costing $1,099. It’s the largest portable speaker from the company so far. It’s called the PartyBox 720, following up on the 710 model from 2021.

The speaker isn’t light, weighing in at 7 pounds, and it should provide good audio with up to 800W of power. You can either plug it in, or use batteries to keep it running for up to 15 hours. You can preorder the PartyBox 720 now, and it’s set to go on sale on Sept. 21.

Finally, there’s a new middle ground speaker from the company called the Boombox 4, which will go on sale alongside the Grip on Sept. 28 for $550. It's lighter than the previous generation, but JBL says it provides better audio. It says, "Don’t let the lighter build fool you, this speaker delivers 50% more power output when used on battery."
