Buying Guide: Adobe Photoshop Express (Beta)

Adobe Photoshop Express brings the industry-leading photo-editing app to the Web. Well, it brings the name, anyhow. What Adobe currently offers is a free Web site that provides users with 2GB of storage space, some very good image-editing capabilities, and rudimentary facilities for sharing photos. For the moment, there's no ability to print photos or create items like photo books and posters. The site excels at editing images already uploaded to partner sites like Facebook, Photobucket, and Picasa. Photoshop Express proves that the concept of Web-based, flash-driven software as a service (SaaS) works. It also demonstrates how much user interfaces improve when designers start with a blank slate.
