If you're worried about how much time your child spends playing Fortnite, you can now set daily limits using a feature called Time Limit Controls, Epic Games announced today.

Parents can choose specific time windows during which their child is allowed to play, and within that window, parents can set daily hour limits as well.

Once the parameters are set, the child will receive an in-game notification to wrap things up 30 minutes before playtime ends. If the limit is reached, play will not resume until the next day or until a new window is made available.

There's an option for kids to request a playtime extension. Parents will get an email with a link they can click to add more time for the day.

Parents can also enable Time Reports, a dashboard that provides activity data of up to four weeks, to check how many hours their child spends on Fortnite each week.

Time Limit Controls are part of Epic Games’ broader Parental Control program. Time limits can be set for default Fortnite modes like Battle Royale and Lego Fortnite, as well as customized modes built using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
