(PCMag / Amazon / Best Buy)
Updated May 19: As the Memorial Day weekend gets closer, we're seeing deals at the retailers we monitor for price drops on tech. Major retailers use holidays as excuses for sales events, and this one is no exception. While we're still six days away from the holiday itself, Amazon, Walmart, and others are already dropping prices. Here are a slew of the top early Memorial Day tech deals we've found so far (with more added daily).
Microsoft Surface Laptop Deal
Holiday sales are among the best times to save big on laptops, and Best Buy is cutting the line with a serious $300 discount on the luxurious, lightweight Microsoft Surface model, which fuses the convenience of a touchscreen with powerhouse AI performance. In our review, we raved about its high-quality metal build, excellent benchmarking results, and all-day battery life. Throw in tons of ports and cool haptic feedback from the touchpad, and you have a laptop worth picking up. There are a few different Surface models on sale at Best Buy right now, but we like this loadout because it comes in at a near-budget price, and the dune finish on the shell is eye-catching and unique.
TCL QM67 TV Deal
The best TV deal we've spotted this week is a $200 price drop on the TCL QM7K, a bright, colorful 4K display that we gave an "Excellent" rating to in our review. This is a solid all-around set for TV, movies, sports, and gaming, with a 144Hz panel with VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro making it work with current-gen consoles and PCs at maximum settings. The nearly bezel-free design eliminates distractions, and plenty of HDMI ports let you set up tons of inputs. It also supports hands-free Google Assistant controls using a built-in far-field microphone array. This set originally retailed for $1,499, so it's an incredible bargain at $800.
Samsung Galaxy S25+ Deal
If it's time for a new phone, don't get shackled into a carrier contract before you check out early Memorial Day deals. Amazon has the excellent Samsung Galaxy S25+ for $300 off right now, but supplies are dwindling. We raved about this excellent Android mobile in our review, noting its gorgeously bright and colorful display, lightning-fast performance, and spectacular cameras. With a Samsung Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2-covered screen and back panel, it's attractive and durable. Connectivity is also excellent, with 5G and Wi-Fi 7 support. We couldn't find much to criticize about this phone, and for this price, it's unbeatable.
iPad Air M3 Deal
Tablets are also seeing price drops, but none as dramatic as a full $400 off the spectacular 2025 iPad Air. We gave this creativity slate an Editors' Choice in our review, noting that while it looked virtually identical to the previous version on the outside, the improved processor delivers upgrades across the board, including better battery life, processing speed, and even camera performance. This is the top-end loadout, featuring a full terabyte of internal storage and a 5G cellular radio for network access wherever you go. While a newer model just came out earlier this year, the M3 is still a top choice for content creation and gaming.
Ring Outdoor Cam Plus Deal
Amazon's house brands are already seeing big price drops for Memorial Day, and if you're looking to harden your home security, the Ring Outdoor Cam Plus is a cost-effective way to get 24-hour coverage with lots of neat features. We have a positive review, noting that it performed well even in low light, was a breeze to install, and played nicely with Alexa smart home systems. It's effortless to connect multiple cameras, have them send customized alerts, and play a loud siren. This model is battery-powered and can go several months between charges. Note that to store and retrieve footage in the cloud, you'll need a Ring subscription, which starts at $4.99 a month.
JBL Flip 7 Speaker Deal
Summer's coming, and if you don't have a Bluetooth speaker to keep your beach party bumping, this weekend sale is going to be the best time to pick one up. We're recommending this $50 price drop on the JBL Flip 7, a well-rated portable with good battery life and loud sound. We have an extensive review of this model, giving it props for its assertive audio profile from a device the size of a 16-ounce soda can. It's super easy to store, IP68 durability rated for total protection against dust and the ability to submerge in about 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes without damage. The accompanying JBL Portable app lets you use a seven-band EQ to further shape the sound to your liking.
Life360 Tile Bluetooth Tracker Deal
With all the hot tech you're going to take home this week, you might have a hard time keeping track of it all. That's where our last deal comes in: a steep 24% discount on a two-pack of Life360 Tile Bluetooth trackers. These tiny little rectangles hold Bluetooth radios that use Life360's proprietary network, with over 70 million users, to precisely locate themselves. We've got an extensive review where we put the Tile through its paces, concluding that it was simple to set up and very accurate, and had an advantage over Apple's AirTag in that it works with both iOS and Android devices. It also has an added security feature that lets you send an SOS signal to selected devices by triple-tapping its face button.
