Less than 24 hours after Apple announced plans for a March 4 event, Nothing wants to steal its thunder by announcing its own launch set for the following day.
A teaser post from Nothing CEO Carl Pei saw the brand take Apple’s invite and deface it. The post confirms an event for March 5 and says Nothing in spray paint over the Apple logo.
Soon after the post went live on X, Nothing shared more details officially confirming it'll start at 5:30 a.m. EST. That’s because the event is being held in Nothing’s home city of London, and most of its products are aimed at Asian and European audiences.
The brand confirmed plans to livestream the launch event on its website, if you’re looking to get up early. Although Nothing has yet to confirm US availability for the phones, it's likely to happen, given that previous products have made their way to the country.
Nothing has been teasing its upcoming Phone 4a series in recent months, and that’s likely what we’ll see at this launch. The brand previously confirmed it has no plans to introduce a new flagship in 2026.
Rumors suggest both phones will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s chips, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Other reports suggest the brand will introduce a new design for both handsets, with possible improvements to the cameras.
Nothing has suggested its prices will be higher this year, given the ongoing RAM crisis that is driving increases across consumer tech. We’ve yet to hear how much each will cost, but it’s likely to be higher than the $379.99 for the Nothing Phone 3a and $459.99 for the Phone 3a Pro.
As for Apple, rumors suggest it may host an event featuring the iPhone 17e, refreshed iPad models, and a long-rumored low-cost MacBook.
