Motorola used CES 2026 to unveil four new mobile gadgets, including a revamped Moto Tag 2 smart tracker to help you keep an eye on your belongings.
Designed as an Android-compatible rival to Apple’s AirTag, the new Moto Tag 2 improves battery life over the first-gen model by over 35%, taking the original’s year-long battery up to around 500 days. The company says it can sometimes last longer, and it runs on replaceable coin batteries so you can switch them out yourself.
Motorola has improved the Tag's durability for this second-gen tracker up to IP68 water and dust resistance. That means it can survive in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, but the brand says you shouldn't intentionally submerge it in liquids.
The tracker is a combination of metal and plastic with the flagship color choice of Laurel Oak. In photographs it appears to be a beige shade, but Pantone says it's part of the yellow color family.

The Moto Tag 2 features ultra-wide band technology to help track your items, plus it works alongside Google's Find Hub network.
There are also Bluetooth Channel Sounding features to help you track the distance of an item. To use this, your phone will need to have Android 16 software. The trackers are otherwise compatible with all phones running Android 9 or above.
We don't yet have a US release date for the Moto Tag 2. Motorola is focusing on other markets at first, and it says more information for North America will be shared in the coming months. The European price remains the same as the first-gen tracker at $29.99 per tag.
Motorola also introduced a new Moto Watch wearable today made in partnership with fitness brand Polar. The smartwatch comes with a 47mm watch face, up to 13 days of battery life, and the option of either a leather-inspired, silicone, or stainless steel band.
Other new gadgets from Motorola include a new portable speaker called the Sound Flow with a 6,000mAh battery, Bluetooth 5, and Dynamic Stereo features.
Motorola is also introducing its first stylus called the Pen Ultra. It's designed to work with select Motorola phones, including its latest Razr foldables, to help users sketch, make notes, and better use features like Circle to Search.
