Facebook is bringing its popular Dark Mode to iOS users now, allowing some users to test it out as an in-app option.

Journalist Jane Manchun Wong recently shared a clip on Twitter of Dark Mode in use, noting that the app would be available for some to try out going forward.

This is the biggest testing rollout since June, where a much smaller percentage of users were actually able to try out Dark Mode. Apple hasn't indicated exactly how many users will be included as part of public testing, but it looks like this could be the final step before an imminent full release.

Should Dark Mode be available for users to test out, a toggle will be seen in the Settings & Privacy menu. There will be an option there to make Facebook light or dark independently of iPhone or iPad settings, or a way to set it to automatically change as the iOS theme is altered.

Dark Mode has been a popular part of iOS ever since it first debuted as part of iOS 13. Facebook is the latest app to fully embrace the feature. If you're curious about whether you'll be able to check it out on your phone and don't have an option, just have patience for now. There are smaller groups of users being greenlit for testing as we speak, and you may be right around the corner.
