Third Time's a Charm? Walmart to Restock on PS5, Xbox Series X Again Today

This time, the restock will occur at 12 p.m. PT/ 3 p.m. ET on Walmart.com and the retailer's app.

For the third time this week, Walmart is restocking on the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. The retailer is slated to sell both consoles again on Friday, Nov. 5th at 12 p.m. PT/ 3 p.m. ET.

Would-be buyers should brace for some frustration and disappointment. Walmart’s past two restocks on Monday and Tuesday were riddled with technical glitches that prevented many customers from even seeing the “add to cart” button. Meanwhile, some scalpers-run bots were able to snatch plenty of stock.  

The consoles will be sold on both Walmart.com and the company’s app while supplies last as online-only deals. Use the links below to place an order once the time arrives: 

We’re crossing our fingers that Friday's restock will be better than the last two. But don’t be surprised if Walmart’s website suffers a glitch once the sales event starts. Be prepared to refresh the page several times to see the product listing. Visiting Walmart.com over a smartphone's mobile browser can help too. 

To purchase a PS5 or Xbox Series X, Walmart’s e-commerce system is supposed to place you into a digital queue, where you wait to place an order. But during the past two restocks our browser struggled to get placed in the queue. Over time, the product listings for the consoles also returned an error page, likely due to the retailer running out of stock within minutes. 

If you fail to secure a PS5 or Xbox Series X from Walmart, we suggest you frequent social media and follow users devoted to tracking console restocks. There are numerous Twitter profiles and YouTube channels that monitor PS5 and Xbox Series X inventory, which can tip you off when more product will become available. But given all the botting occurring online for the consoles, a consumer’s best bet may be to physically visit their local retailer and hope it has the products in store available for sale.
