    • 10 macro keys.
    • High-end keys.
    • Useful software.
    • Software not very user friendly.
    • No additional gaming area.
    • Glossy finish picks up fingerprints/blotches.
    • USB 1.1.

We've wanted to get a piece of Razer's Tarantula gaming keyboard for a long time. Its design reminds us of Microsoft's Reclusa with its blue backlighting and macro keys. Dubbed as the "Ultimate Gaming Keyboard" it's time to see if the Reclusa can live up to the hype.

The Tarantula's sleek, slender frame measures just over 20 inches long and 9 inches wide. This is, no doubt, a very sexy keyboard in the vein of Logitech's diNovo Edge, but it will require proper maintenance to polish up any blotches and fingerprints on its shiny surface.

The Tarantula doesn't stand very tall. It lays flatter than most keyboards, and even the key height doesn't make them protrude the way they do on a normal keyboard. Don't let its short size fool you though, it's built tough. Some strong taps on the surface reveal its hardy durability. — Continue reading on ExtremeTech.com
