Ring is rebranding its smart home subscription service and adding several new features, including 24/7 recording.
Ring Protect is now Ring Home, but prices are the same, starting at $4.99 per month for Basic and going up to $9.99 for Home Standard and $19.99 for Home Premium.

With Home Premium, those with eligible wired cameras can continuously record 24/7, including activity outside motion zones. 24/7 video will be available in the cloud for 14 days, while motion-activated recordings will still be available in the cloud for up to 180 days.
On Premium and Standard plans, Ring will extend the amount of time you can watch a Live Preview, which offers a glimpse of what your camera is seeing. Previously, Live View let you watch for 10 minutes, but those on a Standard plan can now watch for up to 30 minutes. On the Premium plan, you can "watch the feed for even longer with Continuous Live View," Ring says.

Also available on Standard and Premium, Doorbell Calls will ring your phone if someone is at the door. It'll pop up like a video call instead of a push notification, and you can answer and speak to the person ringing your bell.
All three plans, meanwhile, will get new Video Preview Alerts. Ring has offered Rich Notifications since in 2020 with details on the type of motion that triggered an alert, but with Video Preview Alerts, you'll see a short video clip in the Ring push notification. You can then ignore it or open up Two-Way Talk or Live View.

New features begin start rolling out later this month and should be available worldwide by Nov. 5.
