One of the worst parts of installing an outdoor security camera is finding a way to power it, so Wyze's new Window Cam attaches to the glass inside your house to monitor what's happening outside.

The Window Cam supports Full HD video recording at a 101-degree field of view. Plus, there's color night vision tech and it's capable of up to eight times digital zoom. There's also two-way audio, although it's unclear what quality will be like considering it'll be recording through glass.

You won't need tools to install the camera as it uses a hook-and-loop system for the camera to attach to a sticker mount. Wyze says its mount includes an “anti-glare design” to minimize reflections. It comes with a 10-foot-long power cable, allowing you to install the camera far away from your power sockets. There are also cable clips included to help tidy it away.

The camera itself comes in white, so there isn't an option for a more aesthetically pleasing design if you have darker window frames. However, from the outside you can only see the mount and the camera lens.

Window Cam works with up to 512GB microSD cards, or you can use Wyze's cloud storage platform, which starts at $2.99 a month.

The brand’s AI-powered detection tech makes a return, allowing you to keep an eye on what’s happening with notifications such as vehicle movements or people walking by, provided you subscribe to Cam Unlimited Pro for $19.99 a month.

Wyze’s new camera supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT tech. So far, Wyze has yet to announce support for Matter, despite the standard now including security cameras.

The Window Cam is on sale now in the US for $34.98 or $59.98 for two. Each comes with a year-long warranty, and you’ve got 30 days to return them if they’re not what you’re looking for.
