Amazon’s big hardware launch for 2025 didn't disappoint, with nine new Ring cameras, various new software upgrades, and three new Blink products.
The major change is Ring embracing 4K technology for the first time, helping it keep pace with its rivals and offering better clarity across its outdoor security cameras. The feature is called Retinal Vision, and it’s set to power five new cameras.
“Retinal Vision doesn’t just capture video; it optimizes every step of the imaging process with advanced AI tuning," Amazon says. "It’s not just about sharper video—it’s about unlocking a new level of intelligence, where every feature becomes more effective because the foundation is crisper and closer to reality.”
That improved clarity allows for up to 10x zoom, and there’s also enhanced low-light performance compared with previous Ring products, which is coming to the $249.99 Wired Doorbell Pro and $499.99 Wired Doorbell Elite.
It’s also coming to the brand’s new security cameras, which include a $199.99 Outdoor Cam Pro and $299.98 power over Ethernet (PoE) version. There’s also a Spotlight Cam Pro at $249.99 ($349.98 for a PoE version), as well as a Floodlight Cam Pro at $279.99. They're all available for preorder now; the Outdoor Cam Pro launches Oct. 15, while the other two arrive on Oct. 29.

Your Current Camera Will Soon Help Find Lost Pets
Amazon also wants to use its massive network of security cameras to help find lost pets, so it’s activating a new feature that will notify you if your home’s cameras spot a potentially lost animal.
The feature is called Search Party, and it utilizes AI to identify potential matches for missing pets reported within its app. Amazon says it had over a million updates about lost pets within the Ring app over the last 12 months
(Credit: Amazon)Once you report a missing pet, it’ll set up a system across all local outdoor Ring cameras. If your own camera's AI detects a potential match for a lost pet, you’ll get a notification to review your footage. You can then choose whether to send that footage over to the owner of the lost pet.
The feature launches for lost dogs in November, with cats and other animals coming in December. It'll be exciting to see which other types of pets are included. Snake detection perhaps?
The newly announced Ring cameras also come with other new AI features, such as Familiar Faces. This allows you to flag someone who regularly visits your property, reducing the notifications about that person. For example, you can tell the app who your spouse is, so you won't be notified when they return home from work or are detected by the cameras.
There’s also an Alexa+ feature coming to the newly announced cameras called Greetings, which will intelligently ask someone why they’re visiting, from delivery drivers to cold callers, and tell FedEx where to drop the package, for example. To access this feature, you’ll need a subscription to Alexa+ alongside a normal Ring subscription. (Alexa+ is free for Prime members and $19.99 per month for everyone else.)
Greetings for Ring cameras launches this December.
Blink and You'll Miss 3 New Cameras
If that wasn’t enough, Amazon also introduced three new Blink products. The $89.99 Blink Outdoor 2K+ features 4x zoom, audio with noise-canceling technology, enhanced low-light performance, and smart notifications when you subscribe to the company’s premium plan. Preorder now for Oct. 29 delivery. There’s also a new Blink Mini 2K+ camera for indoor use, available for $49.99; it launches on Oct. 15.
(Credit: Amazon)The last product from Blink is called Arc, which combines two Blink Mini 2K+ cameras to provide a 180-degree panoramic view without the need for multiple products. It’s only a 6MP camera, but this may be helpful for locations where you want wider coverage.
“Blink Arc solves a common pain point for security camera users by providing comprehensive coverage in a single view," Amazon says. "Whether watching children playing in the driveway, pets in the yard, or monitoring deliveries, Blink Arc allows Plus Plan subscribers to see everything at once.”
Arc costs $99.99, and it’s an extra $19.99 for a mount. It launches on Oct. 22.
Also today, Amazon announced new Kindle Scribes, Echo devices, and Fire TVs.
