The Samsung neXus is XM Satellite Radio's answer to the Sirius S50. It is basically an MP3/WMA player that, when docked, can record up to 50 hours of live XM radio content. Unfortunately, it cannot receive live content when it's not in the AC-powered dock, unlike the Samsung Helix and Pioneer Inno. I feel that this seriously limits its appeal.

Available in 512MB (neXus 25; $219 list) and 1GB (neXus 50; $269) versions, the device comes with plenty of accessories, including a dock and home antenna. (The XM service costs an additional $12.95 per month.) An optional car kit is available from Samsung for $70, which makes the neXus a little more practical because subscribers can listen to live XM while driving. I am surprised that the car kit isn't included, because drivers are clearly the target market for this device (Sirius got that one right; it includes a car kit with its S50).
