Much like Amazon Prime Day, Stuff Your Kindle Day has now been extended into an event that lasts the best part of a week. The regular book price slashing event is back, and it's offering lots of sci-fi e-books for free.
Hosted by Amazon's Indie Author Central website, the latest event is called "Something Strange" focusing on science fiction and dystopian novels. Some e-books are entirely free, while others have been discounted to $0.99.
You can find everything in this hub page where you can download titles to a Kindle or Kobo, plus these e-books will work on the app for smartphones, tablets, and computers.
There are filters to help you figure out the right read for you, which is helpful as there's a lot of choice. The genre options are limited with the sci-fi focus for this event, but you can pick both Content Level or Spice Level. Both these help you tailor how adult the fiction you're reading will be.
These deals last until July 18, so act quickly if you want to grab any of these e-books. Some ads on the Indie Author Central website suggest the event may continue into July 19, but that isn't the case on other ads. If you're keen to download something, do so quickly.
The last Stuff Your Kindle Day was back in April where we saw 1,100 free e-books across the romance genre.
If romance is more your thing, be sure to return to the Indie Author Central website on July 22 for what the company is calling a “Free Romance Book Blast.” It says there will be over 1,100 books included, but it’s not clear if it’ll be the same titles from April's event.
