At Computex 2026, Asus is marking the 20th anniversary of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand with a limited-edition collection of gaming peripherals featuring 24-karat gold-plated accents. The anniversary lineup includes the ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 wireless gaming keyboard, the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 wireless gaming mouse, and the ROG Keycap Mystery Box Edition 20, a collectible artisan keycap set.

Celebrate Asus ROG's 20th Anniversary in Style

The Asus ROG Azoth Extreme was released in 2024 and costs an eye-watering $500. The anniversary edition is just as incredible, but it's even more expensive, at $599.99, and it’s adorned with some even more luxurious features. They include translucent keycaps, a black-and-gold finish, and a removable commemorative 24-karat gold nameplate.

The keyboard features an adjustable gasket mount, a carbon-fiber positioning plate, a three-layer dampening system, and hot-swappable ROG NX switches. A full-color OLED touch screen and three-way control knob provide quick access to system information and keyboard settings, while ROG SpeedNova wireless technology and the ROG Polling Rate Booster deliver up to an 8,000Hz polling rate and up to 1,600 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz mode.

Meanwhile, the Asus ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 mouse is based on the ROG Harpe II Ace, but it features a more elaborate design. A semi-transparent shell houses a glowing 20th-anniversary logo and an internal metal frame plated in 24-karat gold. While it’s not as elaborate as Razer’s recent $1,337 re-release of the 20-year-old Razer Boomslang, it also doesn’t carry the Boomslang’s jaw-dropping price, coming in at $259.99.

The mouse features the new ROG AimPoint Pro 65K optical sensor, delivering up to 65,000dpi, along with ROG Optical Micro switches rated for 100 million clicks. ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless technology enables up to an 8,000Hz polling rate without requiring a separate booster, while also providing up to 195 hours of battery life.

Perhaps the most distinctive item in this 20th anniversary set is the ROG Keycap Mystery Box Edition 20. Created for collectors and keyboard enthusiasts, the $24.99 collection is a set of boxes that each contain a randomly selected artisan keycap. The collection features designs inspired by the ROG logo, ROG Claymore keyboard, ROG Gladius mouse, ROG Delta headset, ROG Raikiri Pro controller, and ROG Chariot gaming chair.

The detail of each hand-finished resin keycap is actually pretty impressive. Each has an obsidian-inspired base and intricate structural elements designed to highlight the product it represents.

The ROG 20th Anniversary Edition collection is available now for preorder at Best Buy and Newegg, and will become available through Amazon and Micro Center starting June 19.

My Experience

I’m a PCMag reviewer and ISF-certified TV calibrator focused on computer accessories, laptops, gaming monitors, and video games. I’ve been writing, playing, and complaining about games for as long as I remember, but it wasn’t until recently that I’ve been able to shout my opinions directly at a larger audience. My work has appeared on iMore, Windows Central, Android Central, and TWICE, and I have a diverse portfolio of editing work under my belt from my time spent at Scholastic and Oxford University Press. I also have a few book-author credits under my belt—I’ve contributed to the sci-fi anthology Under New Suns, and I’ve even written a Peppa Pig book.

The Technology I Use

My rig consists of an Intel Core i7-10700K processor, a GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I also use an Alienware AW3225QF 4K QD-OLED monitor, a SteelSeries Apex Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, and a Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse. For work, I use the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% keyboard and the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse. When I’m not on my main computer, you’ll find me cycling among my Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

In addition to my physical gear, I use Google Drive heavily to keep track of all my writing and Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. I’m an iPhone user, but aside from my Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earbuds, I’ve largely avoided being sucked too deeply into Apple’s ecosystem (at least right now). I do my best to remain platform-agnostic.

That said, I’ve been a Nintendo fanboy since the N64, though my first console was the Sega Genesis. I love retro gaming and own a wide variety of classic consoles, including a Nintendo Entertainment System, a Super Nintendo, a GameCube, a Wii, multiple older PlayStations (1, 2, and 3), an Xbox 360, and a Sega Dreamcast.
