In the US Amazon has launched a website for its Prime Now service which aims to give customers one hour, two hour or evening delivery slots. Until now the service has only been available through the dedicated app. Frustratingly, the UK doesn't have a website for Now and the press office says there is no date for when one might arrive here.

Amazon loves two things, apps and emails. If you're going to be an Amazon customer, you're going to need a lot of different apps to use its services and endure a lot of email to tell you about things you've bought and things you might like to buy in the future. All fine, but it's also a bit confusing for customers who just want to buy stuff. It's potentially causing Amazon to lose custom from people who would otherwise use its services.

Prime Now can either be used on a per-transaction service, where you pay for a same-day delivery, or as part of Amazon's Prime service which offers video streaming, music streaming and unlimited photo storage.
